The child’s brain is geared towards bonding. If a child is deprived of closeness in difficult moments or threatened with consequences, this triggers stress – often visible through tantrums, withdrawal or defiance. The so-called emotional integration ability<\/strong>, i.e. the ability to regulate impulses and develop compassion, is not promoted in this way – but blocked. <\/p>\n\n

A child needs our guidance, our patience and our compassion – not isolation or power games – precisely when it is “not working”.<\/p>\n\n
