Parents are annoyed, children feel left out. What is often missing is not the rule &#8211; but <strong>the common framework<\/strong> in which it arises.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A family council can be just that: <strong>a fixed, unifying place<\/strong> where everyone is heard, solutions are developed together and real responsibility is allowed to grow.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udde9 What is a family council?<\/h3>\n\n<p>A family council is a regular meeting &#8211; weekly, fortnightly or as required &#8211; at which all family members talk about how they live together.<br\/>It&#8217;s not about talking through problems or having to vote on everything democratically. It&#8217;s about <strong>finding solutions together, defusing conflicts and practising co-determination<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>This is how children learn: My voice counts. I can help shape things. I am taken seriously.  <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f How does a family council work?<\/h3>\n\n<p>\u2714 <strong>Fixed time:<\/strong> e.g. every Sunday evening after dinner.<br\/>\u2714 <strong>Ritual at the start:<\/strong> a candle, a greeting or a moment of thanks.<br\/>\u2714 <strong>Agenda with structure:<\/strong> e.g. round of praise &#8211; problems &#8211; suggestions &#8211; planning.<br\/>\u2714 <strong>Moderation (alternating):<\/strong> children can also lead!<br\/>\u2714 <strong>Binding results:<\/strong> What is tried out, what stays, what doesn&#8217;t?<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcac Which topics are suitable?<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who takes on which tasks in everyday life?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What do children want from their parents &#8211; and vice versa?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do we deal with media time?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What has been nice recently &#8211; and what has been difficult?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf31 Why is it worth it?<\/h3>\n\n<p>Because children don&#8217;t just <strong>learn<\/strong> responsibility &#8211; they are allowed to <strong>live it<\/strong>.<br\/>You notice: I am heard. I help shape things. And that doesn&#8217;t just change behavior &#8211; it changes the relationship.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A family council is not a magic bullet.
