Tell your child: &#8220;You can do anything wrong here &#8211; this is your training ground.&#8221; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Praise not for performance, but for process:<\/strong><br\/>&#8220;You&#8217;ve been practicing&#8221; has a more lasting effect than &#8220;Well done, an A!&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Encourage personal responsibility:<\/strong><br\/>Ask: &#8220;What do you need to make good progress with your tasks today?&#8221; instead of: &#8220;I told you&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Put development above comparison:<\/strong><br\/>Your child is not average.
